About Kajokeji Community
Empowering individuals and families with tools to change
Overview of Kajokeji Community
Nestled in the lush landscapes of Central Equatoria, South Sudan, Kajokeji is home to the Kuku people, a proud community within the Karo family. Traditionally farmers and livestock keepers, the Kuku share a deep connection to the land and their cultural heritage.
Today, a vibrant Kuku community thrives in Edmonton, Canada, fostering unity, collaboration, and cultural pride through gatherings such as the Kuku Conference and Cultural Day. Despite a history marked by conflict and displacement from South Sudan, the community remains resilient, guided by values of respect and integrity.
